Our members are involved in two charities: Hearts for Heroes, and Bottles of Hope.
Hearts for Heroes is a program which allows polymer clay artists to connect with active-duty soldiers at war, and veterans healing in VA hospitals. We create small hearts, under the size of a quarter, which are attached to a special poem thanking the soldiers for their bravery and for keeping us safe. These are sent to them on a special swivel which they can then attach to their dog-tags.
Bottles of Hope are for those suffering from, or healing from, the effects of cancer. Their daily lives are often filled with medicine bottles- which we take and transform into beautiful pieces of art, which become “Bottles of Hope.” Anyone can make one, and members of our guild will be sure they get into the right hands.
